This year marks the ANNUAL Wizards 5k!
This non-competitive 5k FUN RUN/WALK will take you on a magical journey through Seattle's Greenlake Park. Dress up as your favorite "Wizard" and join the fun! Strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome and encouraged.

11am Costume Contest / Raffle. Must be present to win costume contest. Random race bib numbers will be picked for the raffle! Bring an extra toy to donate for more raffle tickets!

Questions about the race course
Q. Where is the race?
A. Green Lake Park (7201 E Green Lake Dr N, Seattle)
Q. Is there a map of the route?
A. We start/finish near the Greenlake Community Center and enter the inside loop of Greenlake.
Q. Are the roads closed for the race?
A. No, the course is on a paved trail not accessible by vehicles.
Q. Is the race timed?
A. Yes, but please remember that this is a FUN run/walk. It is not chipped, but we do have a timing system.
Q. Are strollers/dogs allowed?
A. Yes, but please note that the path narrows on parts of the course. Please line up in the back upon starting the race. No charge for babies in strollers (but they won't get a medal unless you purchase a paid entry).
Q. Is it ok to walk if I've chosen the run/walk option?
A. Yes, of course!
Q. Can I wear headphones?
A. We would prefer that you do not wear headphones for safety reasons.
Q. What does "cupless" mean?
A. It means we are limiting the water stations at most of our races. Please bring your own water.
Questions about registration
Q. When is packet pickup?
A. 9-10am on the day of the race.
Q. Is there DAY OF Registration?
A. We welcome new participants! See specific race date for details on registration times on race day. Cash or credit cards are all accepted. Please note, that there is a $10 race day fee.
Q. What is included in the registration?
A. Race, medal (if applicable), bib, timing, photos, race swag, and ice cream! You get one pair of socks AND we will be donating one pair of socks per registration. A portion of the proceeds go towards our plant-a-tree initiative, Toevember, Cocoon House in Everett, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We will also be collecting toys for the Marine's Toys for Tots program.
Q. What comes with the kid's entry?
A. The kid's entry includes everything an adult entry would include, but at a lesser charge. Please only register for the kid's entry if the kid is 10 and under. The kid's entry will be listed under the person who purchased the registration (their name) or you can email us to update.
Q. What is a virtual race?
A. A Virtual 5K (or any other virtual race) is a race that you choose to complete where ever you would like. You can walk, run, use a treadmill, or participate in another race. The beauty of a virtual 5K race is that you can run the race at your pace wherever you choose. Do not show up to the race on race day, unfortunately, you will not be able to get your medal/bib. All bibs/medals will be mailed AFTER the race.
Q. Can I get a refund or transfer to another race or runner?
A. Sorry, no refunds or transfers are available.
Q. Can I transfer to a virtual race since I can no longer make on the day of the race or vice versa?
A. Sorry, no transfers.
Q. What comes with the kid's entry?
A. The kid's entry includes everything an adult entry would include, but at a lesser charge. Please only register for the kid's entry if the kid is 10 and under. The kid's entry will be listed under the person who purchased the registration (their name).
Q. How does the plant-a-tree registration fee work?
A. You pay "less" and opt out of receiving a medal. We donate on your behalf to plant a tree.
Q. If I paid for a medal, when do I get it?
A. We are eliminating points of contact and giving you the medal when you pick up your packet. This also helps us give those that paid for the medal - the medal; and those that opted out, not to accidentally get one.
Q. I didn't pay for a medal, but now want one.
A. You can check with us at the end of the race to see if we have any leftovers.
Q. I couldn't make it to the race, can I pick up my medal or have it mailed to me?
A. Sorry, but the medals are "finisher's" medals. You must be present.
Q. Does everyone get a finisher's medal?
A. Please stay up to date on our race medal deadline. Each race will have a deadline to receive finisher's medals (typically 2 weeks prior to the race). After this date, we will no longer be guaranteeing medals.
Q. Do I need to dress up?
A. No. But if you happen to have a wizards costume in your closet, wear it!
Q. Where can I park?
A. Please arrive early to find street parking.
