This year marks the THIRD Wizards 5k!
This non-competitive 5k FUN RUN/WALK will take you on a magical journey through Seattle's Greenlake Park. Dress up as your favorite "Wizard" and join the fun! Strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome and encouraged.
12/27/20: If we do not reach a minimum of 50 per race, all registrations will be automatically be mailed on the week of the race.
Run/walk $25 (includes race, bib, photos, medal), early bird price
Kids (14 and under) $20 (includes race, bib, photos, medal)
Virtual 5k $35
*No refunds or transfers from race day entry to virtual (or vice versa), no exceptions.
Course: The start/finish of the run/walk will be at Green Lake Park. There will be a variety of fun opportunities at the start/finish and on the course for selfies/photos! Ok, to bring your pet - dress your dog and stroller for the fun. Sorry, no brooms or bikes allowed on the course.

11am Costume Contest / Raffle. Must be present to win costume contest. Random race bib numbers will be picked for the raffle! Bring an extra toy to donate for more raffle tickets!

Q. Do I need to dress up?
A. No. But if you happen to have a wizards costume in your closet, wear it!
Q. Is it ok to walk if I've chosen the run/walk option?
A. Yes, of course!
Q. Where can I view and download race photos?
A. All race photos will be uploaded to our main Facebook page.
Q. Where can I park?
A. Please arrive early to find street parking.
Q. Can I wear headphones?
A. We would prefer that you do not wear headphones for safety reasons.
Q. Do you offer discounts?
A. Yes, please ask any PNW Ladies Running Group Ambassadors for a discount!
Q. Are strollers/dogs allowed?
A. Yes, but please note that the path narrows on parts of the course. Please line up in the back upon starting the race. No charge for babies in strollers (but they won't get a medal unless you purchase a paid entry).
Q. Is there bag check?
A. No. Unless you pay for VIP.
Q. Is this race timed?
Q. What does "cupless" mean?
A. It means we are limiting the water stations at most of our races. Please bring your own water.
Questions about registration
Q. What comes with the kid's entry?
A. The kid's entry includes everything an adult entry would include, but at a lesser charge. Please only register for the kid's entry if the kid is 10 and under. The kid's entry will be listed under the person who purchased the registration (their name).
Q. What is a virtual race?
A. A Virtual 5K (or any other virtual race) is a race that you choose to complete where ever you would like. You can walk, run, use a treadmill, or participate in another race. The beauty of a virtual 5K race is that you can run the race at your pace wherever you choose. Do not show up to the race on race day, unfortunately, you will not be able to get your medal/bib. All bibs/medals will be mailed AFTER the race.
Q. Can I get a refund or transfer to another race or runner?
A. Yes, you can transfer to another race or runner.
Q. Can I transfer to a virtual race since I can no longer make on the day of the race or vice versa?
A. Sorry, no transfers. See transfer policy.
Q. I couldn't make it to the event, can I get my medal and bib mailed to me?
A. No, you must attend the event to receive medal/bib. See transfer policy.
Q. Does everyone get a finisher's medal?
A. Please stay up to date on our race medal deadline. Each race will have a deadline to receive finisher's medals (typically 4-6 weeks prior to the race). After this date, we will no longer be guaranteeing medals.
Our 2020 goal is to produce less and waste less. If you really want a medal, register ahead of time as we will not be ordering extra medals. After this date, we'll be using the medal fee and donating it towards the race-specific charity, our running group, and/or our gofundme fundraiser. Thank you for understanding.
Q. I couldn't make it to the race, can I pick up my medal or have it mailed to me?
A. Sorry, but the medals are "finisher's" medals. You must be present.

Q. Can I pick up packets for others?
A. Yes! However, you cannot pick up a medal for anyone who did not attend the race.
Q. Who does this race benefit?
A. "On behalf of our patients and families, thank you for considering donating to Seattle Children’s Hospital. Your donation of toys, gift cards and other items help patients and families when they need it most." Please bring items to donate at the Wizards 5k or donate directly to SCH online. Bring an extra item for more raffle tickets. Thank you.
