Q. Can I get a refund or transfer to another race or runner?
A. Sorry, no refunds or transfers are available.
Q. Is there DAY OF Registration?
A. Yes, please note, there is a $10 additional day of fee.
Q. What is included in the registration?
A. Race, medal (if applicable), bib, timing, photos, race swag, and ice cream! A portion of the proceeds go towards our plant-a-tree initiative, Cocoon House in Everett, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Q. I couldn't make it to the event, can I get my race packet mailed to me?
A. No, you must attend the event to receive the race packet.
Q. When is packet pickup?
A. 9-10am on the day of the race.
Q. What if I'm running late?
A. You can start the run/walk on your own and pick up your packet AFTER you complete the run/walk.
Q. What is a virtual 5k?
A. A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. We will mail you your pin when we receive them.
DO NOT SHOW UP TO THE EVENT. A virtual race does not provide you with a day of registration.
Q. How does the plant-a-tree registration fee work?
A. You pay "less" and opt out of receiving a medal. We donate on your behalf to plant a tree.
Q. If I paid for a medal, when do I get it?
A. We are eliminating points of contact and giving you the medal when you pick up your packet. This also helps us give those that paid for the medal - get the medal; and those that opted out, not to accidentally get one.
Q. I didn't pay for a medal, but now want one.
A. You can check with us at the end of the race to see if we have any leftovers.
Q. Is this a 5k?
A. Yes. But it is not a certified course.
Q. Is this event timed?
A. We do have a clock, but it is an unofficial race. Starting in 2019, there will be timing, however, the events are still considered fun runs. Race results will be posted on our main Facebook page.
Q. Can I wear headphones?
A. We would prefer that you do NOT wear headphones for safety reasons, but will not rip the headphones away from you!
Q. Is there a map of the route?
A. We start/finish near the Machias Trailhead in Snohomish. It is an out-and-back course.
Q. Are the roads closed for the race?
A. No, the course is on a paved trail not accessible by vehicles.
Q. Can I walk instead of run?
A. Yes, it is a FUN group run/walk.
Q. What does "cupless" mean?
A. It means we are limiting the water stations at most of our races. Please bring your own water. There are porta-potties along the course.
Q. Do I need to dress up as a zombie?
A. No, you do not.
Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. If you are bringing your dog, please make sure you clean up after them.
Q, Can I bring a stroller to the race portion?
A. Yes - please be courteous of the other runners and line up in the back.
