Get excited for the FIFTH annual This is the Way 5k! Formerly known as "May the Course be with You 5k, Star Wars Holiday 5k, & For Leia 5k).
In the spirit of Star Wars, this will be a FUN opportunity to get out your light saber and practice your best Darth Vader impersonation, as well as dress up in your favorite holiday race outfit!
12/27/20: If we do not reach a minimum of 50 per race, all registrations will be automatically be mailed on the week of the race.
Run/walk $25 (includes race, bib, photos, finisher's medal), early bird price
Kids (kids 14 and under) $20 (includes race, bib, photos, finisher's medal)
Virtual 5k $35 (will mail medal in U.S.).
*No refunds or transfers from race day entry to virtual (or vice versa), no exceptions.

Q. What does my registration include?
A. Registration includes run/walk, finisher's medal, race photos, and more!
Q. When does registration close?
A. Online registration will close on 12/4/21 or if capacity is reached.
Q. What's a virtual 5k?
A. A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. We will mail you your medal when we receive them. Do not show up to event, medals will be mailed after event date.
Q. Can I transfer to a virtual race since I can no longer make on the day of the race or vice versa?
A. Sorry, no transfers. See transfer policy.
Q. Can I get a refund or transfer to another race or runner?
A. Yes, you can transfer to another race or runner.
Q. I couldn't make it to the event, can I get my medal and bib mailed to me?
A. No, you must attend the event to receive medal/bib. See transfer policy.
Q. Does everyone get a finisher's medal?
A. Please stay up to date on our race medal deadline. Each race will have a deadline to receive finisher's medals (typically 4-6 weeks prior to the race). After this date, we will no longer be guaranteeing medals.
Our 2020 goal is to produce less and waste less. If you really want a medal, register ahead of time as we will not be ordering extra medals. After this date, we'll be using the medal fee and donating it towards the race-specific charity, our running group, and/or our gofundme fundraiser. Thank you for understanding.
Questions about the Race.
Q. Is the race timed?
A. The run/walk is for FUN. There will be unofficial timing available.
Q. Where can I park?
A. Please arrive early to find street parking.
Q. Where is the race route?
A. We will be sharing the inside path at Green Lake Park with non-participants, please be courteous.
Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Yes, but please be courteous to other runners and line up in the back. Also, don't forget to pick up after your pet.
Q. What does "cupless" mean?
A. It means we are limiting the water stations at most of our races. Please bring your own water.
Q. I couldn't make it to the race, can I pick up my medal or have it mailed to me?
A. Sorry, but the medals are "finisher's" medals. You must be present.
Q. Who is the charity partner?
A. We're teaming up with Marine Toys for Tots Foundation - we will be accepting new, unwrapped toys in collection boxes on their behalf. Please bring donations to the race, please and thank you.
Q. Is there bag check?
A. No. Unless you pay for VIP.
Q. Do you offer goody bags?
A. We offer reusable bags as a registration perk *new for 2020!
