Independence Day FAQs.

Questions about registration.
Q.  Do I need to sign a waiver?
A.  Yes, please sign the waiver here:  https://app.waiverforever.com/pending/GQWmR9aFAy1493914663

Q.  What time do I pick up my packet?
A.  7am - 845am.

Q.  When is the race?
A.  July 4, 2024.

Q.  Where do I pick up my packet?
A.  TBA

Q.  Can I pick up the packets for my friends?
A.  Yes, you can pick up the bib but participants must be present to redeem drink tickets (when applicable), medal, and other swag.

Q.  What is included in the registration?
A.  Registration includes run/walk, finisher's medal, race photos, and extra swag!

Q. Why don't you include shirts with the race entry?
A. Not everyone wants a shirt, they are a nightmare to maintain inventory-wise, the shirts don't get picked up and we are "stuck" with all of the extras. Behind the scenes, shirts need to be ordered "way in advance" and since most people are registering closer to the race date, this makes it difficult to bear the costs without knowing the final count.

Our solution: Instead of tees at every race, we offer "tickets" to be redeemed with one of our on-site vendors (coffee, cookie dough, and more) as a race perk. Nothing like a treat that is INCLUDED in your registration! And we aren't contributing to the landfills or over-loaded donating sites.

In addition to our “tickets” we started our Trees not Tees campaign.  One tree will be donated on behalf of those who registered.  https://onetreeplanted.org/products/washington.  Thanks for understanding and we appreciate your continued support of our FUN races!

Q.  When does online registration close?
A.  Online registration will close approximately on Thursday before the race or if we reach capacity.

Q.  Is there DAY OF Registration?
A.  We welcome new participants! See specific race date for details on registration times on race day.  Cash or credit cards are all accepted. Please note, that there is a $10 race day fee.

Q.  What's a virtual 5k?
A.  A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. We will mail you your medal when we receive them.  Do not show up to the event, medals will be mailed after the event date.

Q.  What are your refund/transfer policies?
A.  NEW policies effective 9/26/23 - see HERE.

Q.  I'm more of a walker.  Can I still participate?
A.  Yes!  If you need more time to finish, just let us know and you can have an early start.

Q.  Is this race just for women?
A.  No, it is open to all.

Course Questions.
Q.  Where is the race?
A.  Everett's 4th of July Parade Route

Q.  What is the race distance?
A.  Depends on how much you can run in 30 minutes.

Q.  Are strollers/dogs allowed?
A.  Leashed dogs are welcome - please be mindful of other participants.  The trail is narrow and not suitable for strollers - use at your own risk.  Please line up in the back upon starting the race.  No charge for babies in strollers (but they won't get a medal unless you purchase a paid entry).

Q.  Is the course hilly?
A.  Not really.

A.  Do you have a course route for me to download?
A.  Yes, see picture above

Q.  Is this event timed?
A.  Yes.  We will be using our manual timing system to "count the laps."

Q.  Where will results be posted?
A.  Results will be posted on the corresponding webpage page.  Please do not request results within a week - be patient!

Q.  Will you have a water station?  Are you a "cupless" race?
A.  Yes, there will be a water station - consisting of a water jug at the exchange zone.  Depending on the race site, we can be "cupless."  Cupless means we are limiting the water stations and will not provide cups.  If you need water, please bring your own water & water bottle.

Q. Can I wear headphones?
A. We would prefer that you do not wear headphones for safety reasons.
