Run or Wine 5k FAQs

Questions about registration.

Q.  Do I need to sign a waiver?
A.  Yes, please sign the waiver here:  https://app.waiverforever.com/pending/GQWmR9aFAy1493914663

Q.  What time do I pick up my packet?
A.  Approximately one hour before the race starts.

Q.  When is the race?
A.  See dates above.

Q.  Where do I pick up my packet?
A.  See specific Facebook event for details or read through emails.   There is race day packet pickup approx. 1.5 hours before race time start.  We occasionally have packet pickup on the day before the race.

Q.  Can I pick up the packets for my friends or family?
A.  No.

Q.  But what if I "whine" about not picking up for my friends or family?

A.  Still no.

Q.  Why can't I pick up packets for my friends or family?

A.  Since there are drink tickets for alcohol, it is prohibited to allow others to pick up without verifying age.

Q.  Do I need to show I.D?
A.  Yes, for packet pickup and/or any of the locations serving alcohol.  Please do not forget to bring to packet pickup.

Q.  When does online registration close?
A.  Online registration will close approximately 2 days prior to the race date.

Q. Why don't you include shirts with the race entry?
A. Not everyone wants a shirt, they are a nightmare to maintain inventory-wise, the shirts don't get picked up and we are "stuck" with all of the extras. Behind the scenes, shirts need to be ordered "way in advance" and since most people are registering closer to the race date, this makes it difficult to bear the costs without knowing the final count.

Our solution: Instead of tees at every race, we offer "tickets" to be redeemed with one of our on-site vendors (coffee, cookie dough, and more) as a race perk. Nothing like a treat that is INCLUDED in your registration! And we aren't contributing to the landfills or over-loaded donating sites.

In addition to our “tickets” we started our Trees not Tees campaign.  One tree will be donated on behalf of those who registered.  https://onetreeplanted.org/products/washington.  Thanks for understanding and we appreciate your continued support of our FUN races!

Q.  Is there DAY OF Registration?
A.  We welcome new participants! See specific race date for details on registration times on race day.  Cash or credit cards are all accepted. Please note, that there is a $10 race day fee.

Q.  What's a virtual 5k?
A.  A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. We will mail you your medal when we receive them.  Do not show up to the event, medals will be mailed after the event date.

Q.  What are your refund/transfer policies?

A.  NEW policies effective 9/26/23 - see HERE.

Q.  I'm more of a walker.  Can I still participate?
A.  Yes!  If you need more time to finish, just let us know and you can have an early start.

Q.  Is this race just for women?
A.  No, it is open to all.
